Institute For Women's Studies & Research

The Institute for Women's Studies & Research is an Iranian academic and research organization focused on the issues, lives and work of women in Iran. Its remit covers research projects, publications, events and the kind of long-term thinking that academic institutes are uniquely positioned to do — the kind of work that doesn't always make headlines but quietly shapes the conversation. Back in 2011, the institute came to Webrokh in one of our earliest engagements. Academic and research bodies were just starting to take their online presence seriously, and IWSR needed a website that could carry the seriousness of its work — a digital home where students, researchers and the wider public could find its publications, programs and points of view. Webrokh joined IWSR as its web design partner. We shaped a compact, dignified website that introduced the institute, its mission and its work, with a layout that respected academic content rather than fighting it. A small project from our early years, but one we're glad to have been part of.
